Wood Crusher
Industrial-Grade Crushing Power: Process Any Wood, Any Waste, Any Size (1-1500mm) at 1-10 t/h
【Feed Size】: 1-1500mm
【Capacity】: 1-10/h
【Application】: Widely used in papermaking, granulation, mechanism charcoal, particleboard, sawdust board, HDF, MDF, edible fungi and other industrial production supporting equipment.
Technique Principle
The wood crusher utilizes a high-speed rotor equipped with specialized blades (7-type, straight, centrifugal). Material (1-1500mm) fed into the chamber undergoes multi-stage fragmentation. Initial impact and coarse cutting by primary blades is followed by precise shearing and further reduction via centrifugal force. The combined mechanical action (impact, shear, grinding, friction) efficiently reduces raw wood, bamboo, stalks, and waste into consistent wood fiber, chips, or sawdust. This controlled particle size is optimized for applications like pulp, biomass pellets, engineered boards, and mushroom substrate.

Working Principle
Material enters the machine through two specialized feed chutes that classify and route inputs based on their physical properties. Soft or fibrous materials like bamboo stalks and thin branches are directed through the ”Feed chute go to blades” channel, where they encounter stationary Cut Blades positioned near the rotor’s periphery.
As the central Rotor spins at high velocity, it forces incoming material against these razor-sharp blades, executing a guillotine-like shearing action that slices fibrous matter into uniform strips. Simultaneously, bulky or rigid materials such as logs and thick branches enter via the ”Feed chute go to hammers” chute, dropping directly into the impact zone. There, freely swinging Hammers mounted radially on the rotor deliver high-impact blows, shattering solid wood through kinetic collision and centrifugal fragmentation against the chamber walls.
All materials – both pre-sliced strips and impact-fractured fragments – then converge in the grinding chamber, where the rotating hammers continue pulverizing them in a dynamic recirculation loop. Centrifugal forces propel particles outward, while rotor-generated airflow fluidizes the mixture. Oversized pieces rebound off the chamber linings back into the hammer trajectory for repeated crushing, while properly sized particles escape through an integrated sizing screen. The crushed output is pneumatically conveyed out as consistent wood chips or sawdust, with the dual-feed system and sequential blade-to-hammer processing enabling energy-efficient, clog-free operation tailored for industrial volumes.
Product Structure
| Components | Function |
| Dual Feed Chutes | Optimizes energy use: Soft materials bypass hammer impact → reduces wear by 40%. |
| Cut Blades + Hammers | Sequential reduction: Shearing prevents fiber wrapping; hammers pulverize rigid matter. |
| Freely Swinging Hammers | Auto-adjusting force: Hammers retract on overload → protects rotor/motor from jams. |
| Rotor-Driven Airflow | Passive material handling: Eliminates separate conveyors → lowers power draw by 15%. |
Core Advantages
Multi-Drive Pulley System
Triple-motor redundancy with synchronized belt drives prevents torque loss. Allows 55kW×2 main motors + 11kW fan motor to achieve 6 t/h output without overload shutdowns. Heavy-duty bearings extend service life 3x vs. direct-drive systems.
Staggered Hammer Assembly
Axially offset hammers create cascading impact zones – shattering logs (≤350mm dia.) through sequential fracture physics. Hardened alloy tips (HRC 62+) maintain sharpness for 1,500+ hours, ↓ maintenance costs by 40%.
Axial Lamination Cutter
Spiral-mounted tungsten blades (4–8 layers) generate interlocking shear planes that peel wood fibers lengthwise. Produces low-dust strands ideal for MDF/pulp – ↑ fiber yield 25% vs. chopper designs.
Volute Airflow Screen
Aerodynamically curved screen with tear-drop slots (6–16mm) uses centrifugal airflow to:
Separate fines with 98% efficiency
Auto-clear slot blockages via material-on-screen abrasion
Enable instant size changeovers (<5 mins)
