Working Principle

Log Loading & Securing 

Standard round logs (300-500mm in length) are placed into the machine’s heavy-duty feeding carriage. The automated mechanical system securely clamps the wood in place and provides constant downward pressure. This ensures the log remains completely stable during the high-speed shaving process. (Note: Model 500-2 allows two logs to be loaded simultaneously).

Dual-Blade Precision Shaving 

This is the core of the process. As the log moves continuously across the cutting mechanism, it encounters two types of blades working in sequence. First, the Silk Knife deeply scores the surface of the wood to dictate the exact width of the strands (1-10mm). Immediately after, the Flat Knife cleanly slices the scored layer off to determine the thickness (0.1-1mm).

Continuous Excelsior Output 

Through this continuous, reciprocating physical planing (not rough crushing), the solid wood is rapidly transformed into long, uniform strands. Because the cutting action respects the natural grain of the wood, the resulting wood wool retains its full fiber strength and elasticity, dropping directly into the collection area ready for immediate use.
